August 2007: Drs. Al-Haik & El-Genk issued US Patent 2007-0110977....October 2007: Drs. Al-Haik, Leseman, Luhrs and Taha awarded NSF- NUE grant ($200,000)......... October 2007: Dr. Al-Haik chaired the 19th Annual Rio Grande Symposium on Advanced Materials (RGSAM 19)............January 2008:  Drs. Al-Haik, Taha, Luhrs and Garmestani (Georgia Tech) awarded a grant from DTRA ($1,150,000) for developing new multiscale composites........March 2008:  Dr. Al-Haik received the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Fellowship.
